Injury prone

Can anyone guess what lovely thin happened yesterday? (Is being sarcastic) Glass shattered in my hands and cut me with about 4 small nicks and one larger cut. None of the cuts are that bad, but all occur on my right hand, the same one which I got a glass shatter wound a about a month ago.

On a positive note, I saw Hitchhiker's Guide to te Galexy last night and quite enjoyed it. I have never read the book, but my freind who went with me to see the movie, had read the book a while back. She also enjoyed the movie.

Now for a dreary pondering: it is raining and I will have to walk through the wetness today at least twice fr extended periods of time unless it drys up soon. I hate it when my clothes get damp and wet.

One more side note... there is now a sihj monkey in my window and has been for a few days. I am not sure I have mentioned that before.

So it figgures....

I was asleep when the fire alarm went off at about 11:00am today, mind you I had been up and to my early class already, so this was just a nap, however the fact remains that I was asleep. It is disorientnig to wake up to the fire alarm going off, but this has happened multiple times already because or drills and possible actuall insatances or burnt toast or something. I am still tired and slightly groggy despite running down then back up many flights of stairs. I suppose it was time for me to get up anyways and move on with my day... do important things like finsih my stats hw.

Somewhere in Between

I am still alive and breathing, I have not passed out and I actually have some energy. What this all means is that I have made it through a trying day. I finsihed my 50 question, 15 page take home test around 1:30am last night/ this morning and turned it in for my 8:00am class. My long day of classes has ended, I have taken a nap and eaten dinner... wow, I have this thing called 'free time'. I can finally relax for a while. I did my laundry earlier today so despite wearing a hodgepodge of clean clothing while everything was in the wash, I am now pretty much back to normal. Supposedly I still looked cute in my chosen random conglomeration of attire.

I think I shall spend my renaining waking hours reading for the sheer pleasure of it and maybe do some channel flipping on the tv as well, I haven't done that in a while.

Turkey

I am a turkey and I am eating Turkey, lol. I just got back from work, but instead of working in main dining room, I worked a private party for only 9 adults and 2 children with two other people. If you ask me it was easier than normal work and I got more hours than normal. Besides that I had to go into work a little early because we had like a 15 min fire safety meeting which I also got paid to attend. By the end of work I was quite warm and it felt good to walk outside in the cool air.

I just started reading a new book and by jove, it is wonderful so far! After sleeping in later than normal this morning, I actually still accomplished a few things today, namely vaccuming my room. Now I am listening to music and the current song is My Happy Ending by Avril Lavigne.

Overcast

The day and my mood are close. I feel a sense of overwhelming stress that borders on panic when I think about all I have to do for next week and before the end of the semester. I register for classes on Monday knowing full well I will not get one of the classes I want and it is my fault for dragging my feet about looking into it. Without the class though I will be forced to do something drastic if I wish to graduate in the next 5 years... okay so maybe not that bad but... I am thinking about changing majors. But what would I change to? Before I entered college I told myself that, if I ever decide to change majors I would go into interior design. For all I know, they prolly don't even offer it here. I feel as though I should switch to something semi related to all these science classes I have taken so far. I don't care and thinking about it makes me depressed, therefore I put this from my mind and think on all the other bricks hanging over my head. Tests next week and hw due that I wish I could ignore and be lost in a book instead. I got about 4 and 1/2 hours of sleep ;ast night cause I stayed up late reading. At least I don't feel overly tired, but still... I could hit myself for being the stupid procrasinator I am, but that would cause me more pain and suffering than I am presently in. I think I shall attempt to lock the frying pans out of my room lest I get multiple concussions as they whack me on the head reminding me again of the sad reality I call "life as I ignore it".

Off the Wall

Meow :rubs head against computer monitor in a rare display of affection towards technology that enjoys getting itself messed up: I miss my cats, really I do. I haven't been home in what seems like a long time, nor am I likely to visit for over a week. I should prolly vaccum because the floor in here looks a bit dirty.

As you can tell my thoughts are random. I finally dropped off my film to be developed the other day so hopefully I it will be ready for me when I hopefully get a chance to try and pick it up today.

Do you ever wonder why you are teh way you are? Not just personality, but the way you look as well... I dunno, I think I have been becomming freinds with the mirror recently. Anohter random question, do you ever imagine what you would look like if you were draw as an animation character? I have actually done that recently and I am thinking it is the side effect of watching to much tv/ dvds.

Tuesdays come, the day I hate, oohhh.

Long day of classes including 2 labs. I am only halfway through the grueling schedual and I don't smell to much like cat anymore thankfully. Disecting cats leaves a funny formaldehyde smell on clothes and body unforunatly. Amazingly enough it made me miss my 2 cats and want to snuggle with and pet them. Today is bound to be interesting as usual. My life is interesting.

A Yawn and a Smile

Well despite my misgivings I had a lot of fun yesterdaybetween the silly "carnival" thinggy and going to the mall. I got my hair cut in the mall because it needed it. Although there are only about 2 inches or so missing, I can feel the differance easilly.

I am tired for two reasons, first off it is really in the morning and secondly, the fire alarm went off around 3:15am this morninng. I was sleeping very soundly when I was awoken buy the loud buzz like sound. Let me say it does not make me happy to be jolted out of sleep and have to stand outside for like 15 min in the cold in my pajamas and hastilly pulled on slippers and jacket. It was cold this morning. After completeting my exercise quota for the day climbing the stairs back to my room at 3:30am, I then had to fall back to sleep.

Weary apathy?

Somehow I don't kow why, but I am not really looking forward to the weekend. Everyone looks forward to weekends but here I am semi dreading having to go through a full empty day or some such thing. I have some kinda plans, but I don't like really empty days but I like the freedom of choice about how to fill it. I am tired but not exhausted. It seems I have little to say. My day was filled with school, work, eating, sleeping and reading. I remember when I was in Trini and we had a "big hair, big butt" night. The person who won was the most normal looking one of us and we all somehow voted for him anyways. One of the guys had put a sleepingbag over his head somehow, other had stuffed their pants with pillows and other enhansments, you can use your immagination. It was fun and I have many good memeories from therethat have not yet faded after a few years. What people think up when they have nothing planned... (*smiles and shakes head simotaniously*)

Be A Healthy Beauty

Okay, so the title is a reflection of a peice of paper on my desk. It is Thursday again, exactly one week since I was injured and still I have not yet been back to the school store. Last night... well all my free time yesterday was spent watching Full Metal Alchemist. I finished the 2 dvds just sort of midnight. The room smells faintly like washing detergent due to the unfortunate event of me dropping the bottle and it spilling on the floor, at least it has a pleasent odor.

This semester is so differant from last semester and last year... the comparisons are vast, filled with seemingly minute details that all add up. I feel as though I spend much more time with my friends on campus than I ever used to and seemingly bearly talk to those who don't live here. Maybe I am busy and have more of a life than sitting in front of my computer, but also the sands have shifted so that everyone else is seemingly busy for differant reasons as well. Creature of habit that I am, I fear change, but I also fear becomming too set in my ways. A degree of change is always welcome, but too much is overwhelming. Change thrown at you is hard (like quarters dimes nickels and pennies) but then it can also be rewarding (gaining money).

Brain... dead... dying... mortally wounded?

Tuesdays are a hard day because it is my longest day of classes so by the end my brain resembles mush. I saw an ambulance today on campus and sincerly hope no one got injured badly. I am happy that I am finsihed my stats hw. The teacher was nice enough to let us out of class early and let us work on our hw due Thurs. I of course stayed after to work on hw cause having someone else there besides me helping me through it usually means I get done faster and make fewer stupid mistakes. I hate minitab, the program we have to use to do half of our hw and can only use in the math lab unless we pay some outragous price for the program we will never use again after class is over. I am hungry. I have a test tomorrow and I am not exactly looking forward to it, however I should do well, but if I don't... it will be very very bad and I would prolly have to retake the course. Sigh, life. I am tired.

Mallday again

I played advance catch-up so I could play hookey. I went to the earlier section of geography class taught by the same teacher so I could use the time later in the day for other schoolwork. I was tempted to go back to sleep this morning after my first class, but I resisted the urg, or else there are some things that would never have gotten done today. I am tired, truly I am.

As always (well almost always) I went to the mall today. I got the cutest pair of socks too, and my friend has a matching pair! I still smell a little bit like the lemon verbeana scent I sprayed on myself in Bath and Body Works. That stuff smells really good in my opinion but I never seem to have the money and the will to buy it on the same day. I always manage to convince myself I don't need anything else smelly and good. Lilac and Lily of the Valley are also my other two favorite scents so if anyone wants to buy me something...

Well anyways, it has been a nice day. Window shopping is one of my favorite sports. The weather was nice and warm up until the sun went down and it got cold. The number of people with sunburn has increased in the past two days by a significant number, or so it seems.

Insanity?

Okay, so I saw 2 movies in thatres yesterday, Sahara and Beauty Shop and not to forget that I saw Miss Congeniality 2 in theatres on Thursday. Moreover I watched 26 episodes of Full Metal Alchamist last night and today. Today alone the time we spent from 11am to 4pm was in front of the TV watching the dvds. I know it is a decently nice day outside, but when you have a Saturday with a friend... you can spend it any lazy way you please! I am now most likely full of sugar having devoured a whole package of oreo cookies between two people in a 24 hour time span, not to mention any of the other yummy things I injested. This is why I like being young, repracussions for such actions are not so severe as could be at a differant age.

Woohoo weekend... well almost

So yesterday was like the best bad day ever cause there were some pretty good things that happened despite the really rough beginning and rain in the evening.

Today... well today is bound to be interesting because I have a great many plans for the enire day. If you think I have dropped off the face of the earth, it is prolly just me having uberly girl day or something, lol. I still have half a bag of reeses peices from the movie theatre last night. I saw a movie!! Before I say something utterly stupid I will desist this tirade of writing.

Blood and Drama

It is a nice day outside, but the day isn't exactly going my way. Chem class was fine, but here I sit typing with one hand and it is still early in the day. I thought about renting a movie after chem class so I went to the union, but I forgot the movie place didn't open until 10, so I decide to stop in the school store. I was brousing when I picked up a glass looking mug like thing with a lid on it. I tried to takw off the lid, and it shattered. Not only did it shatter on me but it cut my pinky finger on my right hand so that it bled profusely for a while. They called police security AND an ambulance. Appearently someone told them I was bleading pretty bad, lol. So I am pretty sure no glass is under my finger cause I picked up the skin flap. They give me a bandaid and all would have been well, but I was starting to feel light headed. Considering the fact that I really didn't eat anything this morning and only drank like half a bottle of juice... I guess it is no wonder I felt slightly unsteady after loosing blood. They gave me a bottle of water and soon I felt better and kept my hand elevated. STILL they insisted I go out to the ambulance and the parametic dude looked at me, cleaned up my finger and gave me another band aid.

That wasn't how I wanted to spend my day. Now my finger throbs mildly and I am okay, but sure as anything, it was an experience. Wonder if next time I go in the store they will hit me up with an "oh yeah, you owe us money for the glass thinggy you broke and the water, eventhough you were bodilly injured and all". Sihj it all.

Music

Another beautiful day in the neighborhood perfect for reading in the sunshine and listening to music. I only have about 5 books left on my short term reading list. I am going to have a good day, I just know it!

Last night I ate dinner in PAWS and appearently they were haveing a battle of the bands. I stayed for the whole thing but was slightly dissapointed that there were only 4 bands playing total AND the last band to play won but they were the worst group!!! There really weren't many people there either like you think there would be. Not many people came to hear the bands and not many people came to eat either as evidenced by the short lines and empty tables. Usually around dinner time there is more buisness. I dunno what else could have been going on last night. :shrugs:

I can't wait until tomorrow because Thursdays are one of my favorite days of the week and it also means it is almost the weekend. Hopefully the weather will continue in its nice pattern of warmth.

"Oh what a beautiful morning..."

It is nice outside today even better than it was yesterday. Yesterday was both fun and busy. Mondays are much the same regimin, but vary enough to always be interesting. Shopping (or at least window shopping) is almost always a pleasure especially if you wander into the book store. :-D

I just got back from taking my A&P lab test, and although I don't think I got an A, I feel much much better about it than my last disaterous lab test. It was actually fun taking the test at one point because I was like "I know this answer, and I know that answer and I just want to keep doing this cause I know the answers!" Combind with my decent test experience (at least until I se my grade), my chem class was cancelled this morning so I slept in AND had more time to study.

Somehow I have a feeling this is going to be a really good day eventhough I have over 2 hours of stats later on.

Ermm...

Slowly I eat Easter candy, just sitting here thinking. I actually had a better time yesterday than I thought I would. Despite the rainy weather it was actually relativly sunny for a spell, long enough to cook about 30 steaks on the grill and eat. To my great relief mother has accepted Fuzzbutt into the household so that I don't have to haul him back out here. My brother seems right happy, though still a little irresponsible taking care of ham ham. His stance is that he will clean the cage, but mom is gonna help him. This is at least better than his idea of me comming home to clean it, phew. I still have alot of reeses pb cups in my Easter candy stash, only having eaten about one so far because I am not to keen on them.

My mom really liked the family picture we practically snuck out of the house to go get taken. Surprise and amazement surely was painted upon her features when the portrait was revealed. She had not even a clue or inkling of what we had done. I am sure she was pleased with the result of our time expenditure, I mean I must say I was happy with the way it turned out.

Girls

I am such a GIRL! ...but then again, I am a girl, so I have every right to be as girlish and girlie as I want to be every once in a while; leave behind my my serious side for a day, and be Jane to the full.

Fahion sense:
Most days I am content to mosey around not really caring what I wear as long as it is clean and doesn't make me feel overly self concious. (Wearing all green on St. Patrick's Day was one of those am I really wearing this? days because even people I know are part Irish didn't have a scrap of green on, whereas I looked like a leprachan.)

Today is in fact a holiday on two counts, it is April Fools Day and it is my brother and sister-in-law's anniversary. For this occasion I am wearing and jeans and a three quarter sleeved shirt by New York and Company, my Sketchers shoes and socks from Gap. I could pretend to be some sort of fashion plate, in fact I will most likely delude myself to belive I look quite trendy today (after all it is April fools so can't I fool myself, lol) .

Recreation:
Right now it is nice outside, althought I hear it is supposed to rain. I had better take advantage of all my glorious free time to spend some of it in the out of doors while the weather holds. The best way to spend extended periods of time in the fresh air, is of course to carry a good book and plop down somewhere on the grass to devour the sweet pages caressing them with tender love. You might find this overdramatic, but when you find a good book, it IS literally hard to put it down.
