Clay, more clay

This week I have been an assistant teaching a class about clay stuffs, mostly using the pottery wheel, but I find it somewhat boreing making balls of clay for others to use, standing around, and cleaning up, but it isn't to bad. It makes my day longer than usual, but only by an hour, hour and a half.

Last night I got to see my friends who were on vacation last week. Yesterday didn't go quite as I had hoped. I wish they would have talked more about the trip, but at least I got to see pictures and... other things. :-P

Lost, all lost

Alot of people seem to have picked this weekend to go away, so I tried to be resourcefull in finding things to do. I have caught up on some reading and went window shopping with mom. Tuesday I got to play Star Munchkins for the first time and I won! Last night of course was the last episode of Into the West (plus I watched Firefly and Battlestar Galactica as well).

Of Sailing and Cats

I have neglected to blog here for nearly a week, however that does not mean I haven't written down my thoughts. I really did have someting to say, but now my typeable thoughts seem to have fled me.

Yesterday I was out sailing a little Victoria model boat in the rain and actually had a fun time doing it. Who says rain has to be a damper on what kind of fun you can have outdoors? The lightning did make us bring the boats in for a bit, but we were prepared for the rain with umbrella's and plastic bags ect. I think I am getting the hang of sailing and racing the boat around buoys.

I feel like a cat sometimes... my one cat sometimes will meow and give me this look that says "pet me", yet he will remain just out of arm's length. I feel like I use similar tactics when dealing with those I know. I reamain close yet elusive, without effort on the part of the other person. I think I should really get one of those posters that says, "I learned everything I need to know from my cat".

I just finished painting my toenails, this time they are light blue with purple sparkles.

What has happened?

Is there nothing interesting in my life worth writing about? Nay, it is not so. I have had an interesting and semi busy weekend. Many fun things happend but I choose to write very little on them.

One noteable thing (among many I could mention) is that I learned to sail a modle sailboat. We went out to a lake and sailed model boats for prolly close to an hour and a half. It was a nice day out and I didn't get bored at all as I feared I might. Watching the boats sail and trying to get them to pick up speed in the gental wind was both interesting and relaxing.

Pool Time

It is amazing to think I have not written here in days, yet it feels like almost yesterday.

Last night I went to the pool for the first time this year. I only spent a minimal amout of time in the water, but I had fun nontheless. I think the pool is more a place to socialize during the summer than truly a place to simply cool off or get exercise. I suppose it truly depends what age group you are in, that really determines your purposes for going.

Clay Feet

The other day I had just finished pressing out the clay into a plaster mold when Special (the cat) got into the studio and decided he needed to use the restroom. Needless to say I was using paper towels to clean the puddle cat pee off from the clay. Bad kitty, no tuna!

I spent the day up to my elbows in either clay or plummer's cement (water puddy), and it was kinda fun despite getting a bit dirty. It was said again that I looked like a 5 year old playing in the mud and we all know 5 years olds have lots of fun playing in mud and sand.
