Where does the time go?

...Right out the window. I can't belive the month is almost over and I feel as though I have accomplished so little. I have been doing things, but I feel like I never get out of my house. I think I would do almost anything as long as it got me out of my house.

It is actually a nice day outside and I think I might just sit out for a while enjoying it. The pool is open now, but I don't want to go there by myself... and besides the water is usually really cold this early in the season.

It seems I have few words as if I am still half asleep despite having been up for a while.

Memorial Day

Although Memorial Day is truly about remembering peopel who have fought in wars and stuff like that, sometimes I tend to associate it more with cookouts and sales. Personally I like picnics and cookouts, they are a great way to celebrate, although with most hoidays the meaning of the holiday is in part forgotten, and celebration emphasised. I think I have seen and heard more advertisements for sales recently than... than normal. The most since last holiday, lol.

Our family cebrated Memorial Day today by going to a cookout. There was lots of great food, some of it made by my mother. I am stuffed right now having eating my fill plus prolly a little more. After eating we played Chronology. It seems at these sort of gatherings we usually play Chronology, Taboo, or Scattergories... I think it is time to break down and buy some new games for groups like Apples to Apples. I have played Apples to Apples before with friends, but never with family and neighbors, so I think it is time to introduce them to it. Someone would have to buy the game though... and I think I know who to convince.

More fun than in a while

Yesterday I had quite a bit of fun. Not only did I get to do one of the things on most girls top 10 list of fun things to do; shop, I also watched two movies and spent time with friends. Shopping I didn't buy much, but still had fun regaurdless.

We rented both Phantom of the Opera and Assult on Precinct 13 from the movie store as well as Finding Neverland (which we didn't get to watch). As it was I didn't get home until close to 2:30am this morning, so had we tried to watch another movie... I am not sure anyone would have stayed awake. It was certaily more entertaining than sitting at home and cleaning the toilet (which I have to do today).

Searching

So I am now on the summer job hunt. It s discouraging and truthfuly the thought of applying to every place within a 15 min drive, kinda scares me for some reason. It isn't like I don't think I can get a job, it is just that all the work of applying is stressful and then what if I interveiw come off as a total nutcase because I am nervous, then see that person somewhere down the road and realize we both recognize eachother... My fears are a little excessive maybe. So what if they came true? It wouldn't be the end of the world.

I wish I could earn money reading books and sitting around my house... or maybe by makeing finger-paintings thst sold for hundreds of dollars. Not like that would happen in the real world to someone like me though :-P If something I have a a hobby was worth money... I would be in heaven.

Guess I am off to bed, you know get my beauty sleep, because if you haven't got your heath...

Relaxing...

So yesterday was pretty niiiiice. I got to sleep in later than usual, of course the overcast rainy skies made it all that much more inviting to stay in bed. I was of course woken up when my family left the house, but promptly fell back alseep.

Last night I went to a father daughter dance with my dad and had a nice time. It was kinda funny though because I think my dad talked to more people than I did. That is understandable for 2 reasons, there weren't all that many people there my age and I was in a weird mood. At least the punch and food was good. The theme of the dance was Hawaian or something but it was so cold yesterday, all I felt like wearing was black. There was a mix in the way people dressed; there was everythign from prom dresses to skirts and a nice top, ties and suit jackets, to hawian shirts. It was kinda fun though anyways.

Today... well today I slept in some, ran an errand, then went to work. In fact I practically just got home like half an hour/ forty five min ago. It is actually nice outside today and warmer than yesterday for sure.

We're packing now, we're on our way...

So I picked up George III cause he is staying with me over the summer, packed like everything except the puter and phone, and now I have to wait until my daddy and the his car get here to pack like there is no tomorrow, just like everyone else. It will take me forever to get out of here. I got a few roomie leaveing behind prizes such as a half drunk bottle of water, and a lamp. I wish I had some plastic wrap to put over George's tank so the water won't slosh in the car, but alas I am not so fortunate.

All my exams are finally finsihed and I even saw some of my friends for one last time. Yesterday I had a surprise visit froma friend I hadn't seen in about a year. That was really neat.

The midnight showing Star Wars was intereting. I had never been to a midnight showing before, so it was fun in that sense... and of course going with friends to a movie is always nice. The movie itself was pretty good, could have been better could have been worse, but I was overall quite satisfied with it. I love going to the movies. Well, I ought to get back to packing.

The Countdown

It seems whether I choose to or not I am counting down the days or hours to events yet to occur. There is the midnight showing of Star Wars tonight, my last exam tomorrow, moving out, and also in the back of my head how long is left until my birthday. I slept in today and have only recetly gotten out of bed.

Why am I impatient?

So tonight at work I suppose I must have been bored. I got a total of 5 tables in my setion equaling about 12 people. There was another girl in my section with me, I wasn't training her, she was just an independant other who helped... or something like that. Needless to say I had what seemed like alot of free time on my hands. I got annoyed at the waiter in another section for being slow in serving his tables. Why?!? It isn't like I was the one waiting for something, and he is newer at this waitering thing... I really had no right or justification to be annoyed with him at all. If I had been busy I never would have noticed a thing. The end of the night was interesting I suppose, and I went around to at least 2 other sections and informed the waiters in them that they had negleded to fill their sugars even though that is really not my job(to inform them that is). I think it is some of my old habits coming to revisit me. I think I filled the salt shakers for about 4 or so sections including my own. All I wanted to do was go home, but yet I found myself helping others until I was one of the last 3 or 4 people to leave.

The pondering... what kind of attitude did I have tonight, how can I work to be more... agreeable, positive something along those lines... I am not quite sure where I am going with this and I kinda lost my train of thought. Oh sihj it all, maybe food, something fun, and sleep will do me good... ... ...

The black hole

On Friday May 13th, I actually was convinced to watch Friday the Thirteenth. Although it is not my typical type of movie and I would not have picked it out myself, it was not bad watching it with a group of like 10 people about two of whom were kinda drunk, and others who just made random comments about the clothing choices, the actors, and who knows what else. The point of watching the movie was to socialize in a sense, which I didn't mind at all.

Saturday I got to hang with my kitties and see my sister. Sunday I ate Taco Bell. In summary, those were the high points my weekend. I feel as though I have very little to write about, but then again I have written...

Study, study, study...

Two exams for me today, one of them down and one to go... I suppose you could say I have been busy doing important things, although those important items do not seem to include extesnsive study time. I have studied, don't get me wrong, but prolly not to the extent a very dedicated student should. I hope I will do well, but you never know. :goes off to study some more:

Last day of classes

Life has been, as such, busy. I have been reading and studying until I fall alseep... or so that's what I say. Time just seems to fly. I have one more class left today, then I shall be finished until exams. I do not envy myself studying for the exams I have left. I already took an exam this morning which was kinda hard. There are so many things that pull at the time I have, wanted peices and hours. I have to choose... as I am constantly reminded, life is about choices.

What a Day!

Today in summation and no particular order: I saw Third Eye Blind and it was actually fun. I knew at least 3 songs they sang. Vertical Horizon also played and they were pretty good as well. A few other local and reginal bands also played throughout the day. I have now proved I can't dance and that I can get sunburned. I now have 2 more t-shirts, a keychain, a pen, and about four movie posters, as well as some other random more than I started the day with. I ate food, met a few new people and met up with friends as well. I am tired, very tired and my legs hurt a bit.

I ate dinner with 2 guys I had hung out during the day with among other people. One of the guys closes his eyes for a bit so the second one jokingly says "Let's leave together" as in before the first guy opens his eyes. The first guy somehow heard "Let's sleep together" so he opens his eyes in surprise. It was funny and not at the same time.

Crazy, fun day and I am not sure what else I can say especially given my tired mind and body...

Innocence

At work tonight I was training this guy but trying to let him semi work on his own because it was his last training day. I am not sure why some days I am possessed to be weird and hyper. At one point he asks "Do you want to hold my hand while I do this?" (inferring that maybe I was helping too much) but I go "Yes!" (as if I would love to hold his hand) I was tempted to grab his hand in a display of mock sincerity, but fortunatly I refrained (the fact that he was holding dirty dishes prolly helped too). I think maybe I made up for that later by using a tone of voice where-that the table he was serving said "You were laughing at him, weren't you?" I could not quite deny it, although I ment no insult. I should stick my food in my mouth and forbid myself to be so astoudingly silly/stupid. It yet remains to be fully determind wether I have gained a friend or enemy in yet another new face; I sincerly hope that the answer be "friend".

Almost not there

As it happens I almost didn't stay for "Afters" after Cru, but the enticement of free ice cream is hard to turn down. As it happens I was still only planning to stay a few minutes, just long enough to consume a portion of ice cream, however someone was organizing a game of motfia. I decided I couldn't pass up the opportunity, so we played 2 rounds of motfia. The first round I was the last civillan left with with 2 motfia members... how they let the game go on that long I am not sure, but the motfia triumphed. Second round I was motfia and I died midway through the game followed directly by my partner in crime, however some sure seemed surprised to learn I really was motfia. It was commented that I gave a good defense and could be a lawyer, lol. If I change majors, it will not be to that of a laywer.

Looking back I can say I had a good day. I am overall happy with how I spent my time, and will continue to smile until I realize sometime next week just how close I am to failing an exam because I "forgot" to study. (laughs)

Alarmed

The fire alarm went off 2 something am last night/ this morning and of course I tromped all the way down the steps sat outside for a full at least 10 minutes before they shut off the alram for the third time. I think someone must have been like screwing around and smoking in their room or something because we have already had above and beyond our quota for fire drills. This could not have been not a drill, but who knows what pathetic person saw fit to set off the alarm at such a hour when 90% of people are sleeping. I rather enjoyed the 2:30 in the morning workout going up several flights of stairs back to my room so I could attempt to fall back to sleep (sarcastic).

I went to sleep between classes and made up for some of my lost sleep last night. Between reading a good book and other interruptions, it is amazing I sleep at all during the night. Right now I am busy wasting my time staring at a computer screen

ZzZzZzZz...

A very full day... but then so are most Tuesdays. I actually rolled down a hill tonight in a moment of spare time walking back to my room. Random fun things help make my day a little more interesting. My stats test this afternoon was tiring and we had class after we finsihed our test... I mean who does that these days? Oh well, I also took a nap already today cause, it has been a long day.

Yawn like a student

Life has a way of makeing random twists and turns such as unplanned visits home. I rather enjoyed seeing the family and cats last night and earlier today. It had been a while since I got some quality cat time.

Work tonight wasn't bad despite having a few less then positve people in my section. I think the one lady is really comming around and getting a little nicer towards people... although I must say today she told me "I am not sure if she is deaf or not (reffering to the lady sitting next to her) I have been avoiding her for hte past 11 years". If not those exact words than something to that effect were spoken. I thought it quite amusing.

I am tired and I have a test on Tuesday which I have yet to study for, however I think it should be relitivly easy... I hope. Some hw left to be done for that class too... sigh. I ought to go off and sleep so I can get up tomorrow and plug away at what needs be done.

Isn't she cute? Too many comics make me think I should take up drawing... well this is what I get. As you can tell, my skills aren't all that great... or at least not good enough to make more than a hobby drawing.  Posted by Hello
